Hello QAVvers
Hope your week is going well.
Well today is “peak fear day” or “Liberation Day”, as Trump calls it. A 10% tariff on Australia. Let’s see how the market reacts.
cheers

Stock Analysis
Again we haven’t done much buying for the Light portfolios recently, as it’s been tough to find anything to buy at the moment.
BUY LIST
Each week we produce a buy list based on our value investing system that we share with our QAV Club members. The intended primary purpose of this buy list is for club members to use as a reference for comparing their own buy list. In theory, all of our buy lists should look pretty similar each week.
As always, please check our work, DYOR, consult a financial advisor before making any investing decisions.

LAST WEEK’S EPISODES
QAVAU #812 — ASA’s Chairman on Continuous Disclosure
In this episode of QAV, Cameron and Tony dive into the looming macroeconomic uncertainty dubbed “Peak Fear Day,” triggered by Trump’s upcoming tariff announcements—aka “Liberation Day”—and its potential impact on Australian super funds heavily exposed to the U.S. market. They also break down FND’s recent $45 million capital raise and the chaotic movements of its share price. Later, they’re joined by Steven Mabb (Chairman of the Australian Shareholders Association) for a robust discussion on the state of continuous disclosure in ASX-listed companies, ASIC’s role, and potential reforms. The trio explores how shareholders might regain trust and control in a market they increasingly see as opaque and under-policed.
QAVUS #002 – Markets Like Certainty
In this episode of the QAV US Edition, Cameron and Tony dive into the latest performance of the US portfolio, which continues to outpace the S&P 500 with a stunning 70% return. They break down the impact of Trump’s erratic trade policies on global markets, particularly the shipping industry, and reflect on how uncertainty is roiling investor sentiment. Cameron does a “Pulled Pork” deep dive into Mexican cement giant **Cemex (CX)** — a segment that unexpectedly transforms into a passionate, trivia-filled masterclass on the history, chemistry, and environmental impact of cement. They also touch on stock performance, issues with Stockopedia data accuracy, and the curious case of ethical awards for companies that belch CO₂.
