CVW is our small cap stock of the week

Our small cap stock this week is ClearView Wealth, a sell­er of life insur­ance which has two oth­er arms — a wealth man­age­ment busi­ness and a finan­cial advice busi­ness. They have recent­ly announced they are sell­ing the finan­cial advice part and this seems to have giv­en the share price a recent boost. While the direc­tors only own 4% of the stock, there is a large share­hold­er that has a seat on the board and they are dri­ving a strate­gic review of the com­pa­ny. We’ve talked about CVW a lot on recent episodes. 

Their QAV score is 0.32, based on a 68c share price. Their ADT (aver­age dai­ly trans­ac­tion vol­ume) is only $27,000, mak­ing them unat­trac­tive to larg­er investors, but quite inter­est­ing for those with a small­er port­fo­lio. Their qual­i­ty score is 50%, but the vest­ed inter­est share­hold­er would improve that if it showed up in our check­list. Their Price:Operating Cash­flow ratio is 1.59, and the Equi­ty per share is 73c, so it’s trad­ing less than its equi­ty, which we always love to see. Strong finan­cial health in Stock Doc­tor. And it gets a score for a new three point upturn.
