Happy Monday, Light Brigade!
And a big welcome to all of our new members.
My weekend involved 4.5 hours of kung fu on Saturday, and I started reading “Pale Fire” by Nabokov. Really enjoying it so far. Been struggling to find a novel I can really get into lately. Tried and discarded a few that didn’t grab me. I no longer have much tolerance for slow starts apparently. Must be an age thing. Went out to lunch with Chrissy yesterday, leaving Fox at home by himself for the first time! FREEDOM! As I write this, I’m listening to “END OF WORLD”, a 2023 album by PIL that I just discovered existed. Loving it. Didn’t even know they were still around, now I find out they are coming to Brisbane in January next year. Might have to go to that.
Market This Week (All Ordinaries)

All the best,

And here’s my TikTok of the week.
@qavinvesting In Germany, large companies BY LAW need to have a supervisory board made up of 50% employees who get to vote on the membership of the ACTUAL Board that runs the company. It was set up by the Allies after WWII to stop the return of fascism. Why don’t we have something similar in the United States and Australia? investing management fascism corruption trump management
