It’s Mon­day and this is my week­ly report. Wel­come to our new sub­scribers!

Here’s the AORD chart for the last week. As val­ue investors around the world mourned the pass­ing of one of our prophets, Char­lie Munger, the mar­kets gave him an appro­pri­ate send-off with a bit of pos­i­tive cheer.

PORTFOLIO UPDATES

As it’s the start of the month, let’s take a look at how our Light port­fo­lios are per­form­ing.

For the record, as of this month, I’m now report­ing this using Navex­a’s new “All Time” option, eg from the first trade, most­ly because it’s eas­i­er, and also because it should take into account the time we were sit­ting on cash and fac­tor­ing that into our CAGR per­for­mance. 

LIGHT PORTFOLIO GROUP RESULTS 

As a group, our port­fo­lios are down an aver­age of -0.02% CAGR pa ver­sus the bench­mark which is up about ~+5.5%.

PORTFOLIO 221

This port­fo­lio closed 18/04/2022, just as the mar­ket crashed due to the Ukraine war. Hor­ri­ble tim­ing. As a result, we have been sit­ting on a lot of cash for a long time, look­ing for some­thing to buy. It’s still down ~5% (STW +5%), but it has been slow­ly recov­er­ing since its low in May. I only man­aged to invest the last of its cash again in recent weeks. 

PORTFOLIO 222

This port­fo­lio closed 08/08/2022 and is up ~12% (STW 2.5%). This port­fo­lio as recov­ered in recent months and I just recent­ly got rid of the excess cash. 

PORTFOLIO 223

This port­fo­lio closed 07/11/2022 and is down ~3% (STW +7%). All cash is again invest­ed as of today’s trades.

PORTFOLIO 231

This one closed 20/06/2023 and is cur­rent­ly down ~3% (STW +5%). I’ve final­ly re-invest­ed all of its cash as of today as well.

3. We don’t rec­om­mend that you add stocks which are already in our port­fo­lio. Their posi­tion on our buy list might have changed since we rec­om­mend­ed them. Just start with the stocks rec­om­mend­ed after you become a mem­ber.
4. If one of the stocks we add breach­es one of our sell con­di­tions, we will sell it from our port­fo­lio and you’ll get an email advis­ing of the trade. Again, you can copy our trades, but seek finan­cial advice before mak­ing any deci­sions. And please check your Rule #1 price (see Trad­ing Guide­lines).
